The Honda City is a city car designed, developed, and manufactured by the Japanese automaker Honda. It has been in production since 1979, with an all-new generation introduced in 2014.
The first generation was introduced in Japan in 1978 as the Honda N360, with the N360 name also used for a related concept car from 1984. The second generation was launched in 1981 as the successor to the Honda N360, discontinued five years earlier after ten years of production.
The third generation was unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show on October 23, 2011. The new City was shown without its traditional “hatchback” body style, instead featuring a four-door sedan style similar to that of its predecessor (the previous City featured a three-door hatchback.
